This section is the heart of your CP. Which features are present depend upon the package you've selected. At anytime you may upgrade at no charge.

Tool Kit Components

AnonFTP
This option sets up a true anonymous FTP site for your use.

Archive Manager
The Archive Manager is a web based tool to help you backup your site into one compressed file. We recommend moving archived files off the server. You can do this through your domain's FTP account.

Change Password
You will be able to change your password to both FTP and your Control Panel. It will not change your email account(s) password(s). To change the passwords to your email POP accounts, click on Mail Manager in your CP.

Counters
From this option, you can verify that the counter program is installed. You will also find directions on setting up a counter for one of your pages. Finally, after the counter has been installed on your pages, you can customize it right from your CP.

File Manager
The File Manager is the Control Panel (CP) equivalent of an FTP uploader, permission setter and HTML editor all rolled into one. By simply clicking on the File Manager, you'll be able to create, edit, delete and move your files right on the server. You can also upload files to the server from your local PC. What's more, you'll be able to set permissions on files when required by your cgi scripts.

Formmail
Formmail is one of the best scripts to receive feedback, orders and comments from your visitors. Full directions on using Formmail are provided.

Mail Manager
The Mail Manager is where you can manage all aspects of your email accounts. You can add, edit and delete email accounts. You can also change the password on any of your email accounts. Plus, if you have Mailing Lists installed, you would go here to set them up. Finally, this is where you go if you wish to set up email aliases, forwards and auto-responders.

Mailing List
Click it on and make your mailing list. Once it is created, maintain your mailing list with the Mail Manager. You can also remove the mailing list program after it has been installed if you do not wish to use it.

Mime Types
Use this feature to connect special extensions to special programs. You'll find instructions in your CP. Just click on Mime Types. Please note that this feature cannot be used with Frontpage extensions installed. You would need to use Frontpage itself to perform this function.

MS Frontpage
Clicking the MS Frontpage icon will install Frontpage extensions if you want to use that program to maintain your site. It will also verify installation and de-install them as well.

MySQL Database
MySQL (my sequel) is a database engine that you can use with your web site. Just click the icon to install MySQL and manage your database using PHPMyAdmin.

Newsletter
This option displays the occasional NovaHosting Newsletter. Check this often for the latest information.

PGP
Set up your PGP key on the server by pressing this button if you want to use PGP. You must first have PGP installed on your local PC and create a PGP key pair before uploading the key to the server.

PGPMail
PGPMail is simply the Formmail script, except that it encrypts the email via PGP before it's sent. This option includes directions for using PGPMail. Note that you must upload your PGP key before you can use this script.

Protect Directories
Using this option, you can password-protect any directory you own. This will prevent users from viewing the contents of a directory unless they have permission. Note: Frontpage users must use Frontpage itself to perform this function.

Redirect URL
Redirect URL allows you to set up a redirection from one site to another so visitors typing in one URL will automatically be sent to another. Note: Frontpage users must use Frontpage itself to perform this function.

Search Engine
This feature installs and manages the WebGlimpse Search Engine on your site.

Site Statistics
This icon gives you access to your site's statistics, such as hits, transfers, etc.

SSH
If you need telnet access to your server, you may be authorized to use secure SSH. We have it set up to use RSA authentication. You will need to create a key using your PC's SSH software, then use your CP's SSH feature to upload the key to the server. Easy, step-by-step instructions are inside the SSH icon.
